Three things members carry

Savings, loans and shares — each with its own balance, its own history, and the actions that belong to it.

Savings
Running balance and available balance shown separately. Amounts held as collateral against a loan are marked as loan security, not quietly missing. Recent transactions with a running balance after each one. Last transaction date, so members know how current the figure is.
Loans
Active loan count and total outstanding balance across them. The next installment date, flagged as upcoming. Pending, active and closed loans split into their own tabs. Each loan by product name, start date and current balance.
Shares
Approved and pending shares, with the current price per share. Total value of the holding. Every share purchase with its status and date.

The app is not a statement viewer. Members start the things they would otherwise queue at a branch for.

Apply for a loan
A member starts a loan application from the home screen; it lands in your officers’ queue for approval.
Buy shares
Share purchases raised from the app, approved by your staff, priced from your Fineract configuration.
Request a withdrawal
Withdrawals initiated by the member instead of at the counter.

Balances come from the same Fineract instance your officers work in, so there is one version of the truth.
Understand what is locked
Savings held as loan security are labelled, which is where most “where is my money” calls come from.
